JVC или Victor Co. of Japan производит телевизоры с 1953 года, а в последнее время их производство было сосредоточено на заводе компании в Таиланде. С 2000 года JVC начала нести потери от телевизионного бизнеса и в 2008 году они объединились с другой японской компанией Kenwood, после чего JVC вывела их телевизоры на европейский и американский рынки.<br /><br />Сейчас JVC хочет прекратить производство телевизоров на заводе в Таиланде, переориентировав его на другие  приоритетные потребности рынка, такие как автомобильные аудиосистемы, камеры видеонаблюдения и дисплеи для коммерческого использования. При этом будет сокращена численность сотрудников.<br /><br />Тем не менее, телевизоры с брендом JVC все равно будут появляться на полках магазинов. Компания продала маркетинговые права на свой бренд другим производителям. Собственный ТВ бизнес JVC свернет в течение 2011 года.
