В Италии заработал первый в мире видео сервис по заказу 3D фильмов. Необычность его заключается в том, что телевещательная компания Mediaset предоставляет заказываемые фильмы абонентам, у которых нет ни кабельного телевидения, ни широкополосного интернета.

Эта система идеальна для некоторых удаленных регионов, где имеется только эфирное телевидение. Многие телезрители в России, наверное, до сих пор проживают в таких условиях.

Принцип действия этой системы заключается в передаче заказанного фильма абоненту через эфир с записью на жесткий диск специальной ТВ приставки. Процесс записи фильма может потребовать много времени и продолжаться в ночное время. Но в данном сервисе это не критично.

Компания Mediaset планирует предложить эту технологию для реализации в некоторых странах Латинской Америки, Восточной Европы и в Турции.
