Студия Walt Disney Studios сообщила последние планы по выходу фильмов на Blu-ray: платиновые Blu-ray издания пяти самых любимых мультфильмов, уже ставших классикой, появятся к 2010 году.

Это будут следующие фильмы: «Белоснежка и семь гномов» (“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”), «Фантазия», «Фантазия 2000» (“Fantasia”, “Fantasia2000”), «Пиноккио» (“Pinocchio”) и номинант Оскара «Красавица и чудовище» (“Beauty and the Beast”).

В ближайших планах Disney выпустить на Blu-ray платиновое издание «Спящей красавицы» уже 7 октября.
Что касается вышеупомянутых картин, пока точные даты выхода их на Blu-ray не известны, зато на каждом из дисков будет присутствовать опция BD-Live.
«Сервис BD-Live – это нишевой продукт», сказал президент Disney Home Entertainment Боб Чапек, и добавил, что мультфильмы найдут более широкую аудиторию, и технология BD-Live сможет стать массовой.
