Рынок DRAM-памяти упал до 8-летнего минимума

Выручка производителей DRAM-памяти (используется в ОЗУ) продолжила снижаться в I квартале 2009 г., сообщает Gartner. По данным аналитиков, в отчетный период она составила $3,57 млрд, что на 41% меньше по сравнению с I кварталом 2008 г. Кроме того, это самый низкий показатель с IV квартала 2001 г., отмечают эксперты.

По сравнению с IV кварталом 2008 г. ($4,38 млрд) выручка снизилась на 18%.

Выручка производителей DRAM-памяти начала снижаться 2 года назад, как следствие роста числа фабрик и перепроизводства. Глобальная рецессия только усугубила данную ситуацию – спрос на комьютеры начал падать, цены на память поползли вниз. В I квартале 2009 г., по данным Gartner, мировые продажи ПК в численном выражении сократились на 6,5% по сравнению с годом ранее.

Худший результат по итогам квартала показала немецкая Qimonda. Компания объявила себя банкротом, прекратила выпуск чипов и продолжила реализацию исключительно складских запасов. Крупнейший в мире производитель чипов памяти компания Samsung показала лучший результат. И хотя ее выручка снизилась, доля компании на рынке выросла. Аналогичные результаты показали Hynix Semiconductor (2-е место) и Micron Technology (3-е место). На четвертом месте расположилась японская Elpida Memory.

Суммарные потери крупнейших вендоров в I квартале 2009 г. сократились до $2,5 млрд против $2,9 млрд в предшествующем квартале. За последние два года потери компаний достигли $15,2 млрд.
