Обойдясь без шумных анонсов, компания ZyXEL выпустила цифровой медиаадаптер DMA-2500, чьим основным новшеством является поддержка полноформатного видео высокого разрешения (1080p HD Video). Теперь пользователи, желающие состыковать свои сетевые архивы фильмов и снимков с HD-телевизорами, смогут выбрать решение и от этой компании. Модель DMA-2500 сертифицирована на соответствие стандарту DLNA 1.5 и поддерживает больше форматов медиафайлов и субтитров по сравнению с предшественниками. Кроме того, предусматривается возможность доступа к интернет-сервисам Web TV и Internet Radio Live365. Официально цена объявлена не была, но в интернете уже можно найти предложения в диапазоне 225-280 евро.

В списке поддерживаемых стандартов – наиболее популярные аудио- и видеокодеки (в том числе H.264, WMV9, VC1, DivX, Xvid, WMA) и форматы файлов (.MKV, .AVI, .WMV, .ISO, .IFO, .VOB, .MOV и .MPG). Благодаря поддержке стандарта DRM-ND есть возможность воспроизведения шифрованных файлов, требующего наличия прав доступа для просмотра. При необходимости DMA-2500 можно дооснастить беспроводным интерфейсом благодаря совместимости с USB-адаптерами ZyXEL из серии Wireless N, такими как NWD-211AN и NWD-270N. Размеры устройства – 186 x 114 x 38 мм.
