Это самый быстрый чип в линейке компании. Он работает на тактовой частоте 3,2 ГГц, поддерживает частоту системной шины до 4 МГц, обладает 2 МБ кэш-памяти второго уровня и 6 МБ – третьего. Значение TDP соствляет 125 Вт. Технологический процесс – 45 нм. <br /><br />Phenom X4 955 BE формирует платформу Dragon, двумя другими компонентами являются чипсет седьмой серии и графическая карта ATI Radeon HD 4890, пишет Electronista. Могут использоваться слоты AM3 и AM2+. При помощи программного обеспечения OverDrive 3.0 процессор можно разгонять. Согласно AMD, значение тактовой частоты в 3,6 ГГц вполне допустимо. По сообщению британского ресурса TechRadar, чип удалось разогнать до 6,7 ГГц. Ранее, в январе, вендор демонстрировал возможность разгона чипа X4 940 до 6,5 ГГц. <br /><br />Альтернативой X4 955 BE от компании Intel являются 2,83-гигагерцовый Core 2 Quad и Core i7 920 с тактовой частотой 2,66 ГГц. Эти процессоры стоят по $270 и $290 за штуку в оптовой партии. Стоимость чипа от AMD составляет $245. <br /><br />Помимо X4 955 BE, был представлен еще один чип – X4 945 с тактовой частотой 3 ГГц. Он также совместим с AM3 и поддерживает DDR3. Его цена составляет $225.<br />
