Также планируется выпуск 12-ядерных чипов Interlagos. В настоящее время серийные процессоры AMD состоят максимум из четырех ядер.Процессоры Interlagos станут частью семейства серверных чипов Opteron 6000. Предполагается, что они будут использоваться в двух- и четырехпроцессорных серверах. Максимальное количество процессорных ядер в таком сервере будет равно 64. Кроме того, в 2011 году AMD выпустит серверный процессор Valencia с восемью ядрами. Он войдет в семейство Opteron 4000. И Valencia, и Interlagos будут выпускаться с соблюдением 32-нанометрового техпроцесса.Первый 12-ядерный процессор компания AMD рассчитывает представить до середины текущего года. Он называется Magny-Cours и будет выпускаться с соблюдением 45-нанометрового техпроцесса.До конца 2009 года AMD планирует начать серийное производство шестиядерного процессора Istanbul. Работающий образец этого чипа был представлен в феврале.
