Это наилучший результат за последние 6 лет, сообщают аналитики, которые также отметили то, что мировой финансовый кризис рынок видеочипов, похоже, пока обходит стороной.<br /><br />Всего в III квартале (июль-сентябрь) 2008 г. было продано 111,26 млн GPU (графических процессоров). В III квартале прошлого года, для справки, продажи составили 90,85 млн чипов. <br /><br />Из всех проданных в III квартале текущего года чипов 61,9 млн предназначались для настольных компьютеров. Аналитики Jon Peddie сообщают в своем отчете, что более одной трети всех компьютерных систем, продаваемых сегодня, включает более одного процессора для обработки графических вычислений. <br /><br />Почти весь рынок (97,8%) заняли вместе Intel, Nvidia и AMD. Компания Intel заняла 49,4% рынка, Nvidia – 27,8% и AMD – 20,6%. Компании SiS и Via (S3) заняли по одному проценту, и Matrox – 0,1%. Компания AMD находится в конце большой тройки, однако ее продажи в период со II по III квартал 2008 г. увеличились больше, чем у других, - на 33,8%. Рост продаж чипов Intel и Nvidia составил 23% и 4,4% соответственно. <br /><br />По сравнению с III кварталом прошлого года доля Intel увеличилась на 81,4%, AMD – на 22,8%. Компания Nvidia потеряла 6,4% рынка. <br />
