С помощью современных ускорителей NVIDIA такое видео может кодироваться даже быстрее, чем в реальном времени. Как известно, уже вышла бета-версия этого программного пакета. Однако, впереди еще много работы: программа часто вылетает и иногда отказывается обрабатывать с видео в формате AVCHD.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-09/1220396341_avchd600.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Badaboom — многообещающая технология перекодирования видео' title='Badaboom — многообещающая технология перекодирования видео' /></div><br />Перекодировщик видео Badaboom выйдет в обычной и Pro версиях. Первая будет отличаться тем, что сможет обрабатывать видео только в разрешениях до 480p (разрешение DVD-видео). Второе отличие версии Pro заключается в поддержке стандарта AVCHD.<br /><br />Во время демонстрации работы Badaboom журналистам на мероприятии NVISION 08, при кодировании клипа AVCHD в формат для iPhone, центральный процессор был загружен всего на 6 %.<br /><br />Компания Elemental Technologies так же работает над расширением для Adobe Premiere, которое позволит переложить задачу кодирования видео с центрального процессора на видеоускоритель.<br /><br />По словам представителей компании, финальная версия пакета Badaboom и расширения для Premiere выйдут в этом году.
