На переднюю панель выполненного в вертикальном дизайне скругленного корпуса вынесены все ключевые индикаторы и органы управления, а на тыльной части устройства располагается съемная антенна Wi-Fi и все интерфейсные разъемы. В комплект входит также пульт ДУ. <br /><br />Плеер поддерживает установку 3,5" жестких дисков с интерфейсом IDE или SATA емкостью до 1 Тб, с файловой системой FAT32 или NTFS. Для декодирования сигнала используется чип Sigma Design EM8621 – одна из новейших разработок этого производителя, обеспечивающая высокое качество видеоизображения в формате Full HD (1920 x 1080p). Список поддерживаемых форматов обширен: видео – WMV, ASF , MP4, DAT, VOB, MPEG, HD-MPEG2, ISO, IFO, AVI, XviD (без функции GMC), WMV9; аудио – MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA; изображения – JPG/JPEG, PNG, BMP. Кроме того, обеспечивается возможность приема интернет-радиостанций. <br /><br />Сетевые интерфейсы присутствуют и в проводном, и в беспроводном вариантах – Ethernet 10/100 и Wi-Fi 802.11g, соответственно. Кроме того, устройство оснащено портами USB, поддерживающими технологию UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). Для подключения к бытовой электронике могут использоваться такие интерфейсы: HDMI (480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p), композитный и S-Video разъемы, компонентный HD интерфейс (Y, Pb, Pr; 480p, 720p, 1080i); подключение звука возможно через стереофоническую пару разъёмов RCA, коаксиальным или оптическим цифровым интерфейсом SPDIF. <br /><br />Рекомендованная розничная цена ICY BOX IB-MP308 – около 200 евро, поставки в адрес европейских дистрибуторов уже начались. <br />
