В Интернет просочилась предварительная информация о подготовленной к выпуску компанией Fujifilm новой цифровой камере FinePix S2000HD, которая должна пополнить ряды предлагаемых производителем аппаратов S-серии.

Данная модель, сведения о которой сперва появились на канадском зеркале официального сайта изготовителя, в затем были спешно оттуда удалены, заключена в чёрный корпус габаритами 110 х 78,9 х 75,7 мм и весом 386 г (без элементов питания и карты памяти). При этом основные технические характеристики новинки таковы:

- 1/2,3-дюймовый ПЗС-сенсор с эффективным разрешением 10 Мп (чувствительность от 100 до 6400 единиц ISO);
- Объектив Fujinon с 15-кратным оптическим зумом (диапазон эквивалентных фокусных расстояний от 27,6 до 414 мм);
- Система 5,7-кратного цифрового увеличения;
- 0,2-дюймовый видоискатель с разрешением 200 тыс. пикселей;
- 2,7-дюймовый TFT-дисплей с разрешением 230 тыс. пикселей;
- Внутренняя память объёмом 55 Мб;
- Совместимость со сменными накопителями стандартов SD и SDHC;
- Максимальное разрешение получаемых JPEG-фотографий 3648 x 2736 пикселей;
- Возможность съёмки HD-видео в формате AVI (Motion JPEG ) с разрешением 1280 x 720 пикселей при частоте 30 кадров в секунду;
- 14 сюжетных программ и 7 настроек баланса белого (включая пользовательскую);
- Интерфейс USB;
- Видеовыход (NTSC/PAL).

Камера черпает энергию от четырёх батареек типа АА и оценивается её создателями ориентировочно в $300. Точная дата релиза новинки пока остаётся неизвестной.
