Компания Sony выпустила новую серию ноутбуков VAIO FW, ориентированных на формат HD. Новая серия имеет широкий экран с соотношением сторон 16:9 и встроенный привод Blu-ray. Ноутбук построен на базе двухъядерного процессора Intel® Core™ 2 Duo и графического адаптера ATI®, корпус изготовлен из мегниевого сплава.

WXGA++ дисплей с разрешением 1600 x 900 обеспечивает широкое рабочее пространство, а также возможность широкоформатного воспроизведения фильмов и персонального видео. Экран ЖК дисплея на основе технологии X-black позволяет увеличить контрастность и сделать цвета более натуральными. Ряд моделей оснащен двойной лампой для большей яркости и визуального комфорта.

Новые ноутбуки VAIO оснащены встроенной камерой MOTION EYE с разрешением 1.3 Мп.

Ряд моделей VAIO серии FW имеют возможность воспроизведения и записи дисков формата Blu-ray, позволяя сохранять до 50 Гб видеоконтента на одном диске. Все программы, необходимые для работы с мультимедиа контентом, включая Adobe® Premiere Elements 4.0, VAIO Movie Story и Click to Disc/Editor, заранее установлены на компьютере.

Топовые модели этой серии оснащены двухъядерным процессором Intel® Core 2 Duo T9400 и графическим адаптером ATI® Mobility Radeon HD3650.
