Устройства LaserVue поступят в продажу летом 2008 г. в двух вариантах: с диагональю экрана 65 и 73 дюйма, сообщает Electronista.<br /><br />Принцип работы лазерных телевизоров аналогичен проекционным, но только источником света в таком устройстве является не лампа или светодиоды, а лазер — по одному на каждый цветовой канал. Каждый лазер имеет длину волны, близкую к длине волны чистого цвета, обеспечивая при этом более точную цветопередачу. По словам официальных представителей Mitsubishi, лазерный телевизор способен отображать вдвое большее число цветовых оттенков по сравнению с любым существующим телевизором. <br /><br />Обе модели будут отвечать спецификации x.v.Color, иметь HDMI-интерфейсы и поддерживать частоту обновления экрана 120 Гц. Энергопотребление будет существенно ниже по сравнению с современными плоскопанельными ТВ. Глубина телевизоров составит 25,4 см, что в несколько раз больше, чем у ЖК-телевизоров, но сопоставимо с проекционными. <br /><br />Точные даты начала продаж и цены неизвестны. В компании сообщили, что 65-дюймовая модель появится раньше.
