Американская компания Planar, разрабатывающая устройства отображения и визуализации, выпустила Hi-End DLP-проектор Full HD. Контраст PD8150 составляет 15000:1, яркость – 1000 лм, уровень шума – 22 дБ.

Оптический блок PD8150 полностью изолирован от попадания пыли и обеспечивает автоматическое вертикальное и горизонтальное смещение линз. В проекторе есть полный набор видео-интерфейсов, включая два входа HDMI 1.3 а так же RS-232 для управления. Среди дополнительных функций есть раздельная регулировка горизонтального и вертикального фильтров резкости, автоопределение цветового пространства видео-сигнала, выбор температуры цвета, ручная и автоматическая установка частоты кадров, функции Texas Instruments – Dynamic Black и Brilliant Color, выполняемые процессором Gennum 9450. Dynamic Black повышает контрастность, открывая или закрывая диафрагму в зависимости от общей освещенности кадра; Brilliant Color раздвигает цветовой диапазон, выходя за пределы пространства HDTV.
