Nvidia выпускает видеокарту, сделанную по 55-нм технологии

Компания Nvidia представила первую в своей линейке видеокарту, процессор которой изготовлен с применением 55-нм технолологии вместо 65-нм ранее. Ею стала модель GeForce 9800 GTX+, обновление существующей 9800 GTX. Предыдущая модель, как и другие представители серии 9800, использует 65-нм топологический уровень. Уменьшение величины транзисторов позволит увеличить производительность и снизить энергопотребление процессора, а следовательно, и самой карты. Для сравнения, компания AMD уже перешла на 55-нм техпроцесс, который используется в видеокартах ATI Radeon HD 3800 и встроенной мобильной графике.

Стоимость новой платы c 512 МБ видеопамяти GDDR3 составит $230. Ожидается, что новая модель будет конкурировать с Radeon HD 4850, дебют которой ожидается в конце этого месяца, сообщает TG Daily.

В продажу GeForce 9800 GTX+ поступит в середине июля 2008 г.

Стоимость 9800 GTX снижена до $199.
