Corel's не остановилась, получив сертификацию DTS-HD Master Audio WinDVD 8; они добились полной поддержкой записываемых и перезаписываемых форматов BD-R 1.1 и BD-RE 2.1 в последнем продукте семейства WinDVD.

Данный сертификат подтверждает факт того, что продукт компании «удовлетворяет всем стандартам и рекомендуется Ассоциацией Blu-Ray (Blu-ray Disc Association) для комфортного использования возможностями формата». Эти слова вряд ли несут для вас сколь либо полезную информацию, тем не менее, теперь можно с полной уверенностью сказать о совместимости WinDVD со всеми дисками, использующими кодеки H.264 и VC-1.

Для OEM-компаний продукт доступен уже сейчас, обычные потребители смогут его заполучить в начале следующего года.
