В то же время цена Core 2 Quad Q9550 опустится приблизительно на 40% - с первоначальных $530 до $316. <br /><br />Core 2 Quad 9450 (текущая стоимость - $316) будет замещен новой моделью - Core 2 Quad 9400, которая будет продаваться по более низкой цене в $266. Процессоры Core 2 Quad Q9300 и Q6700 также будут сняты с производства. В итоге останется лишь один четырехъядерный процессор, изготовленный на базе 65-нм технологии, это Q6600, стоимость которого сократится с $224 до $203. <br /><br />Что же касается двухъядерных чипов, то тут Intel выпустит Core 2 Duo E8600 (3,33 ГГц) по цене $266, а также процессор начального уровня Core 2 Duo E7300 (2,66 ГГц) по цене $133. Процессор Core 2 Duo E8300 будет снят с производства. Стоимость Core 2 Duo E8500, E8400 и E7200 будет снижена. <br /><br />В связи со снижением цен производители системных плат прогнозируют увеличение спроса. Ожидается, что их выручка в III квартале 2008 г. увеличится по сравнению со II кварталом на 15%.
