В отличие от N&#186; 40 HD, он одноблочный. На его передней панели крупный LCD-экран с удобным графическим интерфейсом пользователя (GUI), понятным и новичку, и эксперту. <br /><br />В N&#186; 502 все сделано для достижения бескомпромиссного качества аудио и видео: раздельные источники питания в экранированных отсеках, 18-слойные печатные платы, изолированные от шасси входные/выходные разъемы, балансная схемотехника и линии передачи LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal), помогающие снизить уровень джиттера. Цифровая регулировка громкости осуществляется в пределах 120 дБ, что позволяет полностью сохранить исходное разрешение сигналов. В дополнение к стандартным декодерам Dolby и DTS процессор N&#186;502 оснащен фирменной системой Harman International Logic7, есть у него и система автокалибровки акустики под свойства помещения. <br /><br />Аппарат оснащен шестью HDMI-входами. Возможен предпросмотр сигнала с одного HDMI-входа при одновременном показе на большом экране другого. Два HDMI-выхода могут выдавать сигналы на пару дисплеев. На видеоплате N&#186;502 размещены два процессора Gennum VXP вещательного уровня с 10-битовой обработкой и 7.8 Гигафлопс вычислительной мощи, что позволяет с легкостью выдавать видео с разрешением 1080p/24 Гц.
