Примерно в это же время, только год назад, компания PureDepth сообщила о сотрудничестве с Samsung по разработке 46'' многослойного LCD дисплея (Multi-Layer Display). На днях стало известно, что первый в мире MLD должен вскоре появиться в продаже. Многослойная технология дисплеев от PureDepth представляет собой устройство из двух или более LCD-панелей, которые создают эффект глубины при просмотре изображения. Таким образом, пользователь имеет возможность просматривать одновременно два массива данных или же многомерное пространство на одном дисплее. Технология многослойных дисплеев подразумевает широкий охват устройств, от мобильных телефонов до телевизионных панелей большой диагонали и навигационных систем.
