Компания Imation, как сообщает источник, 20 июня начнет поставки новых записываемых оптических дисков формата Blu-ray. Диски стандартов BD-R(E) будут поставляться под маркой TDK.

Последняя является уже ровно год собственностью Imation, это подразделение продолжает вести разработки, а Imation, соответственно, использует известный во всем мире бренд для продаж продукции.


Новая линейка продуктов представлена 2х - и 4х-моделями BD-R SL/DL и 2-скоростными носителями стандартов BD-RE SL/DL. Доступная пользователю ёмкость — 25 и 50 ГБ. Эти носители совместимы со струйными принтерами, поддерживающими печать на поверхности оптических дисков.

Первоначально продукция Imation с именем TDK поступит на рынок Японии. Цены пока не названы.
