Тайваньская компания AU Optronics (AUO) объявила о выпуске новой ЖК-панели класса Full HD 1080p с диагональю 24 дюйма и представила её как первую в отрасли. Толщина ЖК-модуля составляет всего 14 мм, что примерно на 50% меньше, чем у большинства современных продуктов подобного размера. По мнению разработчиков, дисплеи с разрешением 1920x1080 и соотношением сторон 16:9 являются наиболее подходящими для компьютерных систем, ориентированных на работу с видео высокого разрешения. Использование мониторов с физическим разрешением 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) или 1920x1200 (WUXGA) и соотношением сторон 16:10 приводит к искажению изображения с дисков Blu-Ray/HD DVD либо вещательной HDTV-картинки, считает производитель. Новинка вошла в фирменную продуктовую линейку MoniTV и, как ожидается, даст начало целой плеяде лёгких и тонких широкоформатных мониторов с оригинальным разрешением Full HD 1080p. <br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-03/1205500859_76955.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='AUO: первая ЖК-панель 24&quot; для мониторов класса Full HD' title='AUO: первая ЖК-панель 24&quot; для мониторов класса Full HD' /></div><br /><br />Из других заметных достоинств представленного ЖК-дисплея пресс-служба компании отмечает его высокую экономичность. За счёт уменьшения количества ламп подсветки, улучшения оптических свойств материалов и других оптимизаций инженерам удалось снизить энергопотребление 24-дюймовой ЖК-панели примерно наполовину. В то же время, такие важные показатели, как яркость и соотношение контрастности, остались на весьма приемлемом уровне - 300 кд/кв.м и 1000:1. <br /><br />Кроме 24-дюймового ЖК-дисплея с поддержкой разрешения 1920x1080 и соотношением сторон 16:9 тайваньская компания планирует вывести на рынок множество аналогичных панелей, которые охватят следующие диагонали: 15, 18,5, 21,5, 27 и 32 дюйма. По данным производителя, большинство из перечисленных продуктов приобретут статус серийных во втором квартале текущего года. <br /><br />Напомним, что компания AU Optronics создана в 2001 году путем слияния предприятий Acer Display Technology и Unipac Optoelectronics и сейчас является одним из ведущих производителей ЖК-панелей для телевизоров и компьютерных мониторов.
