Компания Plextor решила не проигрывать ни на одном из фронтов, и выпустила два новых привода, которые поддерживают оба формата – и Blu-ray  и HD DVD. Новая модель PX-B920SA читает оба HD формата, а записывает информацию на Blu-ray  диски со скоростью 4х, на DVD – 16х, а на CD – со скоростью до 40х; Во второй модели PX-B300SA отсутствует возможность записи Blu-ray дисков. Компания Plextor заявляет, что модели появятся в продаже в конце месяца. К сожалению информации о цене новинок пока не поступало. <br />
