Компания Mitsubishi Kagaku Media (MKM) анонсировала новые 8-см записываемые диски Blu-ray (BD-R) с возможностью печати на нерабочей поверхности с использованием струйных принтеров, а также аналогичные перезаписываемые (BD-RE).
MKM выпускает 8-см диски BD-R и BD-RE
Ёмкость новых однослойных носителей составляет 7,5 ГБ, что позволяет, к примеру, записать до 60 минут видео высокой чёткости (Full HD). Диски имеют защитный слой, позволяющий уберечь их от царапин, и ориентированы на владельцев соответствующих видеокамер.

Начало продажи носителей запланировано на середину февраля, о цене данных пока нет.
