Компания JVC добавила к своей серии портативных видеокамер Everio две новые модели, которые впервые будут поддерживать формат 1080p. Модель GZ-HD6 (только в черном исполнении) имеет 120GB жесткий диск и поддерживает на выходе формат 1080p/60. GZ-HD5 (в черном или серебряном исполнении) комплектуется жестким диском объемом 60GB и поддерживает 1080i. Все остальные характеристики у моделей одинаковые: 3CCD 16:9 построчная развертка, full HD запись (1,920×1,080) в формате MPEG-2 TS, HDMI выход, процессор HD Gigabrid, который позволяет вывести сигнал 1080/60p. 1.8'' жесткий диск объемом 120GB может вмещать до 10 часов видео в формате HD в режиме VBR, а жесткий диск объемом 60GB – до 5 часов. Обе камеры имеют слот для карт памяти microSDHC, i.LINK, mini-USB интерфейс и 2.8'' LCD дисплей. GZ-HD6 должна появиться в Японии в середине февраля по цене $1600, в то время как модель GZ-HD5 будет стоить $1400.
