Напомним, что Apple является давним другом Sony и уже давно входит в консорциум Blu-ray. По мнению аналитика Shaw Wu, данное заявление было достаточно предсказуемо, хотя еще и остается вариант того, что Apple поддержит гибридный дисковод, чтобы не участвовать в противостоянии форматов. Несколько слов также следует сказать о других нововведениях от Apple, таких как iTunes rentals (что-то вроде внешнего HDD) для "MacBook mini", а также обновления для Apple TV, которые должны обеспечить доступ к большему количестве контента в сети и, возможно, наличие TV тюнера.
