Информация о заключении соглашения о сотрудничестве между компаниями Hitachi, Matsushita (Panasonic) и Canon получила официальное подтверждение. Panasonic и Canon согласились приобрести 24.9% акций компании Hitachi Displays, которая направит инвестированные средства на совершенствование LCD технологий. Компания Canon получила право использовать LCD телевизоры маленького и среднего формата от Hitachi, а также OLED технологии для своих видеокамер и другой продукции. В свою очередь, Panasonic намерена повысить свою конкурентоспособность линейки своих HD телевизоров Viera благодаря использованию технологии Hitachi IPS (In-Plane Switching) и OLED технологиям.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1198700673_hitachi_lcd_tv.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Panasonic, Hitachi и Canon заключают сделку о сотрудничестве' /></div><br />Panasonic и Hitachi не намерены покидать «коалицию плазменных технологий», при этом они учитывают рост спроса на недорогие LCD панели и не отказываются от возможности вступить в аналогичные партнерские отношения с другими компаниями.
