Итак, 71% пользователей PS3 ответили, что они используют дисплеи HD для игр (32% - на LCD, 17% - PLP, 9% - RPTV, 6% - FPTV, 5% - на телевизорах HD с кинескопами и 2%- на HD DLP ). Для сравнения, для Xbox и Wii первый показатель составляет 66% и 65% соответственно. Большинство пользователей используют компонентные вход и кабель, чтобы подключить свои игровые приставки к дисплеям. Это неудивительно, так как это единственный способ подключения Wii и Xbox к телевизорам, и только на моделях Xbox класса hi-end имеются порты HDMI. По мнению некоторых аналитиков, высокое разрешение играет немаловажную роль в современных играх, так как многие пользователи жалуются, что невозможно читать или видеть текст или мелкие детали на экранах обычных телевизоров.
