Компания Texas Instruments представляет новый цифровой медиапроцессор на основе технологии DaVinci для транскодирования видео в медиашлюзах, устройствах для реализации многоточечной видеоконференции, цифровых медиаадаптерах, системах видеорегистрации и IP-ресиверах.
TI выпустил однокристальный процессор обработки HD-сигнала

Сопровождаемый целым комплексом инструментов разработки и программного обеспечения для цифрового мультимедиа, новый процессор DaVinci TMS320DM6467 представляет собой однокристальную систему на базе цифрового сигнального процессора, специально приспособленную для обработки мультиформатного видео высокой четкости.

Ядро процессора работает на тактовой частоте 600 МГц, при этом обработка видео занимает лишь половину его ресурсов. По сравнению с предшествующим поколением чипов новинка демонстрирует десятикратный прирост скорости работы. Процессор способен работать с сигналом вплоть до типа кодирования H.264 с разрешением до 1080p с частотой обновления до 60 кадров в секунду.

Использование нового процессора позволяет сократить затраты при создании систем многоточечной видеоконференции и видеонаблюдения, а также снизить расходы на электроэнергию конечным пользователям.

Процессоры DaVinci TMS320DM6467 в настоящее время предлагаются для испытаний с целью определения круга заказчиков. При объеме партии 50 тыс. штук они продаются по цене около $36.
