Toshiba тестирует программное обеспечение версии 2.7 для своих HD DVD Готово ли последнее обновление программного обеспечения для HD DVD плееров следующего поколения? О тест драйве плеера HD-XA2 рассказал Joshua Zyber.
Выпущенная на прошлой недели документация для программно-аппаратных средств версии 2.7, обещает улучшить сетевое соединение, поддерживающее возможность скачивания сетевого контента, связанного с определенными HD DVD дисками.
В дополнение к этому, версия 2.7 включает в себя функцию режима Direct Digital Output для модели XA2. Эта возможность (прежде она была доступна лишь на недавно выпущенном плеере A35) позволяет передавать необработанный цифровой поток для аудио форматов Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD и DTS-HD по средствам HDMI 1.3 к совместимым приемникам для декодирования. В то время как XA2 все еще не будет способен к декодированию DTS-HD или Master Audio своими средствами, тем не менее, данная функция предоставит возможность насладиться аудио форматами в полном объеме и качестве.
После инсталляции нового программного обеспечения на XA2, оказалось, что в устройстве уменьшилась медлительность некоторых выходных каналов. Так, например, исчезли проблемы с синхронизацией звука и изображения в формате 1080p24.
К сожалению, затруднения с проигрыванием HD DVD Combo дисков, таких как '300', остаются проблемой.
