Новый высококачественный формат для видео уже тестируется. Чен отметил, что ‘для доступа к обширной библиотеке сайта необходим поток с низкой скоростью передачи’. С появлением высокой четкости буферизация видео потока может увеличиться.  <br />Чен подтвердил, что появление данной услуги планируется через три месяца. Он также отметил, что внутренний архив YouTube содержит видео с родным разрешением. А также есть много видео с очень плохим разрешением, начиная с 320x240, и передача их в режиме высокой четкости сильно не поможет.   <br />
