Äèçàéí ñîõðàíèë îáùèå ÷åðòû è ôèëîñîôèþ êëàññè÷åñêîãî êîíòðîëëåðà DualShock äëÿ PlayStation. Íåñìîòðÿ íà íàëè÷èå ôóíêöèè âèáðàöèè, â êîíòðîëëåðå ñîõðàíèòñÿ è ñèñòåìà ðàñïîçíàâàíèÿ äâèæåíèÿ ðóê â òðåõ èçìåðåíèÿõ — SIXAXIS.
