Sony представила обновленную AR серию ноутбуков с наличием Blu-ray и CableCard. Основная разница между моделями достаточна проста: модель AR630E стоимостью $1,700 имеет только Blu-ray привод, модель AR660U, стоимостью $2,400, имеет CablecCard, модель AR690U, стоимостью $3,300, оборудована как тем, так и другим.

Ноутбуки снабжены процессорами T7250 и T7500, а также ОС Vista Home или Ultimate. Среди других особенностей, отметим 1.3 мегапиксельную вебкамеру, разрешение 1440 x 900 или 1920 x 1200, видеокарту 8400M GT или 8600M GT NVIDIA, двойной 160GB SATA HDD и HDMI интерфейс. Все три модели появятся в продаже 2-го Октября.
