На сегодняшний день компания Intel хоть и является лидером на рынке системной логики с интегрированной графикой, ее решения, в частности, G33, не отвечают требованиям, необходимым для запуска современных компьютерных игр. Похоже, что компания понимает незавидную роль чипсетов с интегрированным видео, которые сегодня воспринимаются лишь как продукты для офисных компьютеров и систем начального уровня, и в планах Intel значится постепенное повышение производительности интегрированных графических ядер.<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1190829000_60874.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Интегрированное видео от Intel увеличит производительность в 10 раз' /></div><br /><br />Так, согласно информации из официальных источников, к 2010 году ведущий чипмейкер планирует выпуск интегрированного видео, возможности которой сравнятся с возможностями игровых консолей. При этом производительность будущих решений будет на порядок выше современного уровня. Другими словами, пользователи, не желающие тратить значительные средства на покупку полноценного игрового ПК, смогут ограничиться возможностями интегрированного видео. Отметим, что уже в 2008 году Intel выпустит более производительные решения, изготовленные по 65-нм технологическому процессу, а в 2010 году на рынке появятся и чипсеты с интегрированной графикой, изготовленные по 32-нм техпроцессу.<br /><br />Однако интегрированное видео будет рассчитано не только на геймеров, но и на любителей домашнего просмотра видео. Так, к следующему году Intel обещает подготовить решения, поддерживающие воспроизведение видео высокого разрешения Blu-Ray и HD DVD, а значит компания выйдет и на рынок чипсетов для функциональных домашних мультимедийных компьютеров.
