AMD устранила недостающее звено по цене и производительности между Radeon HD 2600 XT и HD 2900 XT. Компания готовится к выпуску графических процессоров серии Radeon HD 2900 Pro . Новая видеокарта основана на чипе R600 и призвана составить конкуренцию с Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS (версия 320 Мбайт видео памяти). По данным сайта Geizhals.at, её цена составляет 235 евро.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1189964679_ati_radeon_logo.gif" style="border: none;" alt='Новые видео-карты разной степени готовности.' /></div><br />Radeon HD 2900 Pro работает на частоте 600 МГц, имеет 512 Мбайт памяти GDDR3. Частота памяти составляет 800 МГц (1600 МГц DDR). Энергопотребление - 150 Вт. Хотя по техническим характеристикам, напечатанным на коробке, карта имеет 256-битную шину памяти, но ИТ-ресурс HIS утверждает, что на самом деле Radeon HD 2900 Pro имеет 512-битную шину памяти. Впрочем, насколько это, правда, все выяснится в следующем месяце, когда Radeon HD 2900 Pro выйдет официально.<br /><br /><br />До недавнего времени ходили слухи о технических характеристиках нового поколения графических процессоров Nvidia. Так как все современные графические процессоры способны совершать параллельные вычисления (GPGPU), Nvidia решила интегрировать данную технологию в G92 в качестве фирменной технологии.<br /><br />Что касается параллельных вычислений, производительность G92 достигает отметки 1 терафлоп с помощью своего блока обработки шейдеров в конфигурации MADD+ADD. G92 имеет полностью скалярный дизайн, 512-битную шину памяти и поддерживает до 1 Гбайт графической памяти GDDR4.<br /><br />Среди поддерживаемых интерфейсов программирования приложений (API) - DirectX 10.1 и OpenGL 3.0. Другие особенности графических процессоров серии G92 - поддержка Free 4xAA, аудиочип, поддерживающий стандарт HDMI, встроенный в графическое ядро блок тесселяции, улучшенные производительность и качество выходных сигналов блоков AA и AF.<br /><br />Ожидаемые цены GeForce 9800 GTX и GeForce 9800 GTS составят от 549 до 649 долларов и от 399 до 449 долларов соответственно.
