Компания официально объявила о выпуске BC-1205PT, привода, чья цена уже на старте продаж, по неофициальным данным, должна составлять около 270 долларов.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1189251962_news09052007.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Недорогой привод с поддержкой Blu-ray, ASUS BC-1205PT, - официально' /></div><br />Необходимо отметить, что ASUS тщательно избегает упоминания о цене новинки, поэтому с уверенностью заявлять о том, что планка в 300 долларов взята приводами Blu-ray, пока нельзя.<br /><br />В качестве рекордера DVD±R/RW новинка не представляет собой ничего выдающегося - скорость записи составляет лишь 12х для однослойных дисков, записываемых однократно, 6х - для перезаписываемых и 4х - для двухслойных дисков. Для CD-R и CD-RW скоростная формула выглядит как 32х и 24х, соответственно. Поддерживается также запись DVD-RAM на скорости 5х. Однослойные же диски BD/R/RE читаются довольно быстро - до 5х.<br /><br />Время доступа в случае работы с DVD составляет 150 мс, а для BD - 250 мс.<br /><br />Объём буфера составляет 4 Мб.<br /><br />В новом приводе реализован ряд фирменных технологий ASUS:<br /><br /><li>     DDSS II (Double Dynamic Suspension System II) - патентованная антивибрационная технология</li><br /><li>     LCT (Liquid Crystal Tilt): технология, позволяющая приводу с большей надежностью работать с дисками, имеющему неравномерную толщину и подобные дефекты</li><br /><li>     Smart Laser Driver: технология, риск ошибок из-за наводок и искажений сигнала внутри привода</li><br /><br />Габариты привода составляют 148 x 42,3 x 185 мм, вес - 980 граммов.
