На предстоящей в Амстердаме сентябрьской выставке IBC французская компания Thomson собирается представить новый декодирующий чипсет для HD ресиверов.  <br /><br />Данный чип класса high-end, Thomson 4230, оптимизирован для использования в HDTV ресиверах с возможностью записи программ.  Разработанный чип позволяет принимать цифровой видео сигнал как на спутниковые ресиверы, так и на кабельные и IP приемники, при этом поддерживаются стандарты H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 и DiVX кодеки.  Устройство сможет обрабатывать как HD, так и SD сигнал. <br />Чип имеет все необходимое обеспечение для защиты контента. Также присутствует USB 2.0 подключение и SATA интерфейс, которые поддерживают запись программ, как с жестким диском, так и без него. Чипсет 4230 снабжен дополнительными возможности по использованию услуг triple play для VoIP сервисов, широкополосного доступа в интернет, кабельного телевидения и видео по запросу.<br />
