Корпорация Sharp представила прототип нового LCD телевизора, по многим параметрам превосходящий все предыдущие модели. Его отличает превосходное качество изображения, тонкий профиль, а также отсутствие неблагоприятного воздействия на окружающую среду. Sharp надеется, что ее технологии откроют дорогу будущему телевидения.

В мире продолжается постепенный переход на цифровое вещание, поэтому спрос на LCD телевизоры стремительно растет. Среди наиболее важных функциональных характеристик современных цифровых телевизоров отмечают тонкий корпус, дисплей с высоким разрешением и низкие энергозатраты. Наличие этих характеристик делает телевизоры привлекательными для покупателей. Переход на цифровой формат вещания позволил полностью избавиться от посторонних шумов и обеспечить высокое разрешение изображений.

Прототип LCD телевизора от Sharp объединяет уникальные технологии для достижения контраста 100,000:1 и годовых энергозатрат в размере всего 140 Кв/ч. Устройство толщиной всего 20 мм (29 мм в самой объемной части) имеет дисплей с диагональю 50 дюймов.
