Данный выбор обоснован тремя аспектами: великолепное качество изображения, возможность выбора режима съемки (HD или SD), и наличие интерфейса HD SDI с поддержкой аудио и тайм кода.<br /><br />Камкордер GY-HD251 действительно полностью универсален. Он использовался как для съемок интервью на улицах, так и для работы в студии, временно организованной, на одном из высоко расположенных балконов с видом на Champs Elysees. В течение всего периода съемок использовалось 15 камер: восемь из них работали на штативах в полуоткрытой студии, остальные семь работали на выездных съемках в провинции.<br /><br />Камера предлагает различные форматы видеосигналов и различные варианты подключения: 6-pin FireWire интерфейс, Тайм код и Genlock по BNC, и 4-pin XLR интерфейс для подключения аудио. Камера достаточно легкая и не доставляет неудобства при съемки с плеча. Все вышеперечисленные достоинства говорят о том, что любой корреспондент может снять репортаж отличного качества в любых условиях.<br /><br />Во время ведения репортажей с президентских выборов компания le But du Jeu  ретранслировала более 1150-ти репортажей на 47 ТВ каналов. Среди них основные европейские каналы и каналы Al Jazira International и Al Houra International.<br /><br />Генеральный менеджер компании But du Jeu , Мр. Эммануэль Клейн объясняет:"При нашей работе камера, в идеале, должна иметь возможность съемки как в HD, так и SD форматах, иметь интерфейсы аналоговый компонентный интерфейс и цифровой SDI, иметь поддержку форматов PAL и NTSC, 50 и 60 Гц. GY-HD251 обладает всеми этими возможностями. Конечно наши ПТС преимущественно использовали интерфейс SDI для обоих форматов. Еще одно преимущество GY-HD251 в том, что мы могли быстро подключить все кабели и вести прямой репортаж менее чем через 5 минут после установки. Нам нужна была мобильность и универсальность, и мы все это получили".
