Японская компания Sharp планирует выпустить свой первый плеер Blu-ray-дисков осенью текущего года, модель BD-HP20S. Устройство будет поддерживать разрешение 1080 строк прогрессивной развертки со скоростью воспроизведения 24 кадра в секунду и несжатый многоканальный звук формата Dolby TrueHD, сообщает Blu-ray.com.

Коммуникационные возможности устройства будут представлены интерфейсом HDMI версии 1.3, компонентным, оптическим и коаксиальным цифровым выходами, а также аналоговым 5.1-канальным аудиовыходом. Максимальная поддерживаемая частота обновления экрана - 60 Гц.

Также упоминается о наличии функции Quick Start, обеспечивающей сравнительно короткое время задержки после включения плеера до начала воспроизведения диска, составляющее несколько секунд.
