В следующем месяце компания Sony собирается начать продажи устройства, способного показывать видео из интернета на большом экране телевизора. Первый конкурент Apple TV называется Bravia Internet Video Link. Стоит новинка $300. Впрочем, нам кажется, что на массовость в этом случае можно не рассчитывать, так как система работает только с HD-телевизорами Sony Bravia. К приёмнику аппарат подключается через порты USB и HDMI.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1182167957_51495.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Конкурент AppleTV от Sony в июле' /></div><br />Все совместимые Bravia HD-телевизоры поставляются вместе со специальным разъёмом, куда можно поместить Bravia Internet Video Link, размер которого не превышает габариты карманной книжки. Все материалы будут поставляться от аудио-видео подразделений Sony, или от Yahoo, Time Warner AOL и Grouper. В дальнейшем Sony намерена наладить контакт и с другими поставщиками.<br /><br />Основными отличиями Internet Video Link от Apple TV является отсутствие памяти и отсутствие необходимости в подключенном к сети компьютеру. Напомним, что аналогичные видео-возможности владельцам телевизоров также предлагает TiVo.
