Иск предъявлен со стороны Target в отношении Sony Computer Entertainment America, Sony Pictures и Sony DADC. В документе указывается, что при изготовлении Blu-ray-дисков компания использует отражающий слой из сплава на основе серебра - технологии, разработанной и принадлежащей Target.<br /><br /> Истец не сообщает, в какой части дисков происходит нарушение патента, или это касается всех выпущенных носителей. Патент был обнародован в апреле 2004 года и получен в марте 2006 года.<br /><br />Использование сплава на основе серебра дешевле, чем применение в качестве составляющего элемента золота, к тому же, указанный сплав по сравнению с чистым серебром обеспечивает более стойкую защиту от коррозии.
