Анонс обновления прошивки для PS3 В пресс-релизе от Sony Computer Entertainment Europe анонсирован предстоящий выход обновления для системного ПО PlayStation 3 до версии 1.80, которое дебютирует завтра на Европейском рынке. Главной особенностью этого обновления явилось существенное повышение качества картинки DVD фильмов и обратная совместимость с играми от PlayStation и PlayStation 2. Для владельцев HD совместимых телевизионных приемников это обновление способно кардинально улучшить качество воспроизведения DVD и игр прошлого поколения, более того, обновление добавит поддержку разрешения вплоть до 1080р FullHD.
Из добавленных возможностей также можно отметить способность использовать функцию Удаленной игры (Remote Play) через Интернет. Владельцы PSP скоро получат возможность подключаться и иметь доступ с контенту на своих PS3 откуда угодно в мире через беспроводной хотспот, ранее GamePro сообщало что данная функция появится в конце февраля.
Ну и последняя главная новость состоит в том, что обновление позволит пользователям по сети просматривать содержимое своих PS3 с любого DLNA совместимого устройства, как например настольный компьютер или ноутбук. Для ознакомления с полным списком совместимых устройств Sony приглашает всех заинтересовавшихся посетить домашнюю страницу Digital Living Network Alliance.
В пресс-релизе так же упоминались и другие возможности, вроде печати изображении, которые хранятся на PS3 на принтерах фирмы Epson. Хотя обновление было заявлено только для Европейского рынка, Sony обычно выпускает такие вещи для всего мира.
