По сообщению nikkei.net, японская компания Hitachi планирует вывести на рынок к 2009 году оптические диски формата Blu-ray емкостью 200 Гб. Инженеры Hitachi надеются достичь такого объема за счет размещения до восьми информационных слоёв на одной стороне диска.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1179660043_hitachi_quadruplelayer_bd_drive.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Hitachi: 200-Гб диски Blu-ray к 2009 году' /></div><br />Хочется отметить, что о создании 200-Гб дисков Blu-ray уже сообщали некоторые компании. В частности, компания TDK заговорила о 200-Гб дисках еще в начале прошлого года. Но дальше слов и прототипов дело пока не продвинулось.<br /><br />А тем временем на лидерство по емкости претендует другая перспективная оптическая технология. Уже близится массовое появление на рынке голографических дисков, объем которых достигнет 300 Гб. По последним данным, компания InPhase Technology выпустит в продажу свои 300-Гб накопители к июлю этого года.
