Шесть моделей в 42-х и 50-ти дюймовых вариантах с разрешением 720р появятся в продаже уже в Июне, а четыре FullHD-модели в диапазоне от 50-ти до 60-ти дюймов в Сентябре. Во всех моделях присутствует интегрирован DVB-T тюнер и съемные колонки.
Pioneer анонсировал плазменную панель 8-го поколения в Европе.

Панели с разрешением 720р имеют уровень контрастности 16000:1, а панели 1080р увеличивают этот показатель до впечатляющих 20000:1. Pioneer уверяет, что изменения коснулись не только внешнего вида: помимо редизайна, все показатели улучшены по сравнению со старыми моделями на 80%, включая технологию Intelligent Brightness Control, которая отображает изображение наилучшим образом в зависимости от условий освещения.

Цены и точные даты начала выпуска не сообщаются, но по данным Tech.co.uk потенциальные модели выйдут под номерами PDP508 (50-ти дюймовая диагональ FullHD) и PDP4280XD / PDP5080XD с 42-/50-ти дюймовыми матрицами.
