Совместное предприятие Toshiba Matsushita Display (TM Display) разработало самый большой OLED-дисплей, выполненный на основе низкотемпературных поликремниевых диодов (LTPS), длина диагонали которого составляет 20,8 дюйма. Дисплей способен отображать разрешение 1024x768 пикселей и до 16 млн. цветов.<br /><br />Экраны, выполненные по технологии OLED, имеют ряд преимуществ перед ЖК-панелями, которые заключаются в лучших энергосберегающих характеристиках, меньшей толщине (ввиду отсутствия ламп подсветки), более широких углах обзора и меньшем времени отклика.<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1176193865_tmdt_oled_20100407.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='TM Display выпустил самый большой OLED-дисплей' title='TM Display выпустил самый большой OLED-дисплей' /></div><br />Новый экран планируется использовать в следующем поколении электроники, включая компьютерные мониторы, ноутбуки, а также плоские телевизоры.
