Компания Epson представила новый 3LCD-проектор PowerLitee Home Cinema 1080, поддерживающий формат 1080p. Цена будущей новинки составит US$3000.

Представители компании заявляют, что их новинка даст большую фору нынешним одно-матричным проекторам, для которых заявляется поддержка заветных 1080p, но на самом деле они используют различные ухищрения типа движущихся зеркал и виртуальных пикселей. Epson заявляет, что ее новый проектор поддерживает реальные 1080p, т.е. каждая из трех LCD-матриц обладает разрешением 1,920 x 1,080 пикселей.
Проектор снабжен разъемом HDMI последней версии 1.3 и поддерживает технологию Deep Colour, которая увеличивает контрастность изображения до значения 12 000 : 1. Кроме того, в новинке используется новая оптическая система AccuCinema, состоящая из 14 линз, включая два асферических элемента для улучшения качества изображения по краям экрана. Новый объектив обеспечивает угол до 96 градусов по вертикали и до 47 градусов по горизонтали.
Новинка будет доступна в США уже в этом месяце.
