Ассоциация Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), рассматривавшая версию стандарта DisplayPort 1.1, сообщила о его принятии.
Спецификация DisplayPort 1.1 добавляет поддержку High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) версии 1.3. Кроме того, работа DisplayPort 1.1 подразумевает низкий вольтаж и потребление энергии, а также минимальные наводки EMI. Интерфейс Dual link DVI обеспечивает пропускную способность порядка 10,8 Гбит/с, а порт DisplayPort 1.1, как отмечается, имеет примерно вдвое более высокую производительность.
DisplayPort 1.1 - уже промышленный стандарт благодаря VESA

Компактный разъем DisplayPort, по размерам примерно равный USB, может заменить разъемы DVI, LVDS и VGA и упростит подключение различных устройств, как говорят в VESA.
