остоялся официальный анонс чипсета AMD M690, предназначенного для мобильных компьютеров. Новая системная логика с интегрированным графическим ядром позиционируется как современная платформа для создания производительных и экономичных ноутбуков на базе двухъядерных процессоров AMD Turion 64 X2.

С целью увеличения времени автономной работы разработчики внедрили инновационную технологию Display Cache. Она позволяет центральному процессору работать в некоторых случаях в экономичном режиме без доступа к системной памяти. Как отмечено в пресс-релизе, данное платформенное решение вкупе с энергетической эффективностью процессора Turion 64 X2 позволяет увеличить работу ноутбука на одной зарядке аккумулятора на 30 минут, по сравнению с продуктами AMD предыдущего поколения.

AMD M690 располагает графическим ядром Radeon X1200 с аппаратной поддержкой DirectX 9, достойной своего класса производительностью в трёхмерных играх и гарантией совместимости с Windows Vista. Благодаря технологии ATI Avivo, новая платформа прекрасно справляется с обработкой видео, в том числе в HD-форматах. Стоит также отметить, что AMD M690 является первым мобильным чипсетом с интегрированным интерфейсом HDMI.

Ряд крупных производителей ноутбуков, включая ASUS, HP и Fujitsu Siemens Computing, готовят новые продукты на базе процессов AMD Turion 64 X2 с новой системной логикой AMD M690.
