LG на пороге отказа от производства плазменных панелей Согласно мнению аналитиков агентства Woori Investment & Securities, корейский электронный гигант LG Electronics (LGE) в скором времени может окончательно свернуть производство плазменных панелей, которое приносит последнему только убытки.

Так, согласно финансовому отчету компании за четвертый квартал 2006 года, убытки от реализации продукции в подразделении, занятом производством плазменных панелей, составили 156,9 миллиона долларов США, причем компания ожидает практически 30% снижения цен на плазменные панели в 2007 году. Однако, пресс-секретарь компании заявил, что компания пока не приняла окончательного решения по данному вопросу.

При этом, необходимо отметить, что пессимистичный настрой корейских производителей на перспективы плазменных телеприемников не разделяется их японскими коллегами. На днях порыв неунывающего "двигателя" рынка плазменных панелей корпорации Matsushita Electric Industrial (Panasonic) поддержали соотечественники из Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display (FHP), заявив о намерении расширить производство плазменных панелей в текущем году. В планах компании организация производства 42-дюймовых панелей в Малайзии, запланированного к старту в апреле 2007. Кроме того, еще одна фабрика расположенная в Чешской республике, заработает в середине лета текущего года.
