Согласно новой информации, владельцам консоли придется скачать установочный файл, который будет весить около 500 Мбайт, а позднее появится возможность загружать патчи, расширяющие возможности Home. Полноценный запуск сервиса состоится в октябре 2007 года. Также стало известно, что в закрытом бета-тестировании, которое продлится приблизительно с апреля по август, смогут принять участие 15 тыс. человек. Открытый бета-тест запланирован на период с августа по октябрь, и тогда уже Sony собирается поселить в «Доме» 50 тыс. пользователей. Кстати, компания уже запустила официальный сайт проекта, однако на данный момент там нет практически ничего полезного. Но уже в ближайшее время Sony обещает поделиться свежей информацией относительно приближающихся тестов.
